We are coming to the end of 2022 and what a year it has been! Our business development has been exponential over the past 12 months, supplying over 630 customers. We have relocated our premises, introduced a multitude of new products, and had a significant expansion of our workforce. First incorporated back in 2007, we have now been trading for 15 years. Experiencing rapid growth as a business over this time, we have developed our very own range of products, partnered with some fantastic suppliers, and continued to push for excellence every step of the way.

In July we made the move to our new facility, increasing our warehouse and office space from 12,000 square feet all the way up to 45,000. Our new warehouse has allowed us to increase our day-to-day stock holding significantly, as our product catalogue continues to expand with new, innovative materials and equipment. We have also been able to double our impregnation capacity with the introduction of a second wet out bed to ensure we continue to keep up with customer demand.

Additionally, the move has permitted us to expand our specialist service & repair centre – we have plenty of space for a vast array of spare parts to be kept in stock for all pieces of equipment to ensure a quick turnaround time on repairs. Over the years we have developed two separate divisions within our repair department – the Robotics Repair Centre & General Maintenance and Repair Team. The Robotics Repair Centre focuses on the repair of Sewertronics & Dancutter Systems, whilst the General Maintenance and Repair Team are constantly servicing and maintaining our extensive fleet of hire equipment and carry out the repair and service of our range of Sluices, Boilers, and Inversion Drums.

Initially introduced back in July 2021, our CIPP Lining & Patching Training Course has been incredibly popular. Upon our relocation we decided to incorporate a new, bespoke training facility offering ample classroom space along with an external space. This allows our technical engineers to carry out demonstrations and conduct the course attendee’s practical examinations. The classroom is parallel to our new purpose-built showroom, created to display our variety of CIPP equipment and material samples.

We have welcomed several new staff members this year across all departments with the introduction of:

  • Adrian Ferriday, Warehouse Operative
  • Bret Norman, Area Sales Manager
  • Glenn Kilshaw, Warehouse Operative
  • Jamie Hardiment, International Sales Manager
  • Kieran Hempshaw, Warehouse Operative
  • Liz Viles, Operations and Procurement Compliance Manager
  • Samantha Briggs, Chief Financial Officer
  • Sam Ford, Wet Out Operative
  • Tanya Grimley, Accounts Assistant

We have also had multiple internal promotions and would like to congratulate the following on their new roles:

  • Charlie Kaye, Transport Manager
  • Jack Silcock, Warehouse Supervisor
  • John Price, Goods in Supervisor
  • Ruth Atkinson, Financial Director

Maintaining a close-knit team of staff has always been a priority for us to ensure we get the best out of our employees and work together to guarantee our customers get the finest service possible.  We are incredibly pleased to have welcomed such highly skilled individuals to the RSM team and to continue to support the professional development of our existing employees.

As always, we would not be able to do what we do without the support of our customers. We have supplied the materials and equipment for a variety of high-profile installations over the past year! We have sold over 30 Krasotech Sluices, 62 inversion drums, 13 Sewertronics Speedylight+ Systems, 14 Dancutter Superflex, 2500 packers, and 42860 RSM Pipe Aid kits.

We have also supplied over 4700 metres of Fero Force inversion liner. The reactive solution for Pressure Pipe Rehabilitation, Fero Force provides a fully structural repair for pressure pipes and rising mains. Each Fero Force liner was impregnated with a vinylester resin by our wet-out team before being delivered to site in refrigerated transport, after we provided a full design service for the job. Our wet-out service for standard hot cure polyester & epoxy liners has also been incredibly busy this year with over 22km of liners impregnated and delivered to site for our trusted customers.

With the return of No Dig Live, we brought some of our brand-new products to the market, such as the Sewertronics LED Rig. The LED Rig has the capability to cure UV Glass liners in lengths of 200 metres in diameters up to 600mm. With a reduced on site footprint and low energy requirements reducing overall cost, the LED Rig is an incredible piece of equipment. It can also be connected directly to 240V electrics so there is no requirement for a large generator.

We have a new diameter change liner coming over the next few months and many more upcoming product launches. We will be holding an official opening of our new premises in the new year so be sure to keep a look out for further announcements. We would like to thank all our loyal customers for their continued custom and support and we wish everybody a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
