With 2021 coming to a close we thought it was time to reflect on the past year & our development as a business. We have had a great year with exponential growth of our team, the introduction of our CIPP Training Course, a multitude of new innovative products and plenty more!

Maintaining a close-knit team of staff has always been a priority for us to ensure we get the best out of our employees and work together to guarantee our customers get the finest service possible. We’ve had some fantastic additions to the team this year with a new International Business Development Manager to look after our growing international distribution service, a Procurement Manager to deal with our ever-expanding purchasing requirements, and new additions to our administrational team to assist with the organisation of transport, processing customer orders, and general administrative duties to ensure the business continues to run as smoothly as possible. We’ve also welcomed multiple new Warehouse Operatives & Drivers to assist with general warehouse duties and ensure all customer orders are dispatched in a timely fashion.

Not only have we welcomed multiple new staff members to our team, but we’ve had five of our employees celebrate their 10-year employment anniversaries! Phil Steele (Sales Director), Andrew Scott (Area Sales Manager), Arron Wigley (Warehouse Manager), Paul Waddoups (Operations Manager), and Karl Tracey (Warehouse Operative and Impregnation Engineer) have all been dedicated members of the RSM team for the last decade, and we can’t wait to see what the next one brings.

Our Sales Team have taken full advantage of the easing of lockdown restrictions – they’ve managed to attend four exhibitions this year and still have one left to go to! We’ve exhibited at No Dig Live 2021, No Dig Glasgow, FloodEx & Flood Ex National Drainage Show and found it fantastic to see customers face to face after a long two years in and out of lockdown.

Our Technical Team premiered some of our brand-new products at No Dig Live 2021, including the new Sewertronics Speedylight+ XL Head & Sewertronics QuickPatch System. Sewertronics have recently introduced the XL Spectralight Head, increasing the curing speed and diameter capability of the Speedylight+ System. The powerful 1800W head has the capability to cure felt liners up to 400mm in diameter and standard UV glass liners in diameters up to 600mm. Another new addition to the UK market, Sewertronics’ UV LED QuickPatch Lite cures pre-impregnated UV material for spot repair in diameters ranging from 80mm to 600mm. Offering exceptional curing times, the QuickPatch Lite’s high-power UV LED incorporates a breakthrough, shadowless technology that cures the fibreglass patch.

We have offered training & consultancy services for several years and now have a WRc approved, EU Skills accredited, CIPP Lining and Patching Training Course – an in depth delve into the world of CIPP, providing an understanding of all levels of lining and patching to increase the quality of workmanship within the CIPP industry, and ensure correct practices give a quality product to the asset owner. We’ve had 150 attendees successfully complete the course and achieve their EU Skills qualification in just the last 3 months, and invested in a brand-new training unit! Our training course is designed to give you the knowledge to install liners & patches confidently & successfully in diameters up to 300mm. It is a two-day course hosted at our head office in Doncaster and we’ve received some fantastic feedback so far.

Our Sales Director, Phil Steele, commented: “I am delighted to introduce this new training course and facility. It has been an idea of mine for many years, and I am incredibly proud we have finally opened the doors! I believe this course gives confidence to the market that contractors and engineers are competent at CIPP before approving them to work on their assets.”

Our Technical Engineers don’t just run our training course, they are also on hand for assisting our customers on site. For example, we joined one of our customers on site for the installation of 40 metres of 1000mm BKP UV liner in a particularly difficult culvert recently. We’ve also supplied multiple Fero Force pressure pipe liners in diameters up to 600mm over the year and plenty of long length, large diameter hot cures! Such as 296 metres of 375mm hot cure polyester liner, impregnated at our head office & installed by one of our fantastic customers.

From our beginning in 2003 our ethos has been to introduce choice & technology to the CIPP industry, positioning us as a forward thinking, market-leading supplier, committed to providing only the highest-class of materials and a top-level service. We supply the full package of technical knowledge, equipment, services, and materials to the wastewater industry and have many exciting new announcements coming next year to celebrate our 15-year anniversary! We would like to thank all our loyal customers for their continued custom and support and we wish everybody a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
